This hole, which follows the shoreline of the St. Lawrence River, demands a well executed tee shot to set up your approach into the riverside green.

If you did not see a blue heron on previous holes, keep watch. You may see one here patiently waiting to observe a hole in one. This scenic par three plays easy on a calm day. A good breeze, regardless of its direction, turns this lamb of a hole into a howling wolf.

If you fade left to right watch out on every shot. A narrow penalty area runs down the right side starting near the tee. To the right of the green is a large pond.

This steeply graded green with its upper tier guarded by a trap often presents an interesting putting challenge.

If you like using the one wood, beware the reachable bunker on the right. There is room to miss it left, if you can keep it away from the large weeping willows. You might be wise to save that big drive for the next hole.

Typically plays longer into the less than favourable wind. You will probably want to let out the shaft as you angle a drive over the hazard but shorter hitters are well advised to play it as a dogleg by aiming left. Things do not get easier when you face an approach shot into a green that just says NO!

Things do not get easier yet in our tough four hole finish. The corner of 16 can be cut across the thick rough. However, only under rare circumstances will you find this green in two. Shorter hitters require good first and second shots to safely avoid ditch 140 yards from green.

Keep tee shot well left. Tight fit between the hazards coming into green. Short approaches kick right into hazard.
